Owls are in alpha.
What is an Owl
An Owl is an AI analyst that works for you. You give it a goal in one sentence, such as “find $50 million of working capital” or “close the gap in the quarter,” and it does the work in the background. It finds the data, runs the analysis, recommends what to do, carries out the actions you approve, and reports the result. Dashboards show you what happened, but moving your numbers takes further work. Finding the opportunity, deciding what to do, carrying it out in the systems where your business runs, and checking whether it worked. Today, this work usually falls to you in addition to your day job. You interact with your Owl in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or any other surface you use. It keeps working whether or not you’re online, and it contacts you only when it needs a decision. What an Owl does
An Owl works through the following actions:- Analyzes and recommends: Plans the analysis, runs governed queries across your connected data, and turns the result into a concrete recommendation.
- Acts with your approval: Prepares the change, such as CRM tasks or new reorder levels, and executes it when you say so. You can give standing approval for actions you trust it with.
- Follows through: Tracks the metric the work was meant to move and reports results against what it projected.
- Remembers: Keeps a diary of its brief, decisions, actions, and results, so ongoing work picks up where it left off.
How to become a design partner
To become a design partner, complete the following three steps:- Email us. Write to support@wisdom.ai with the subject line “Owls design partner.”
- Tell us about the work. Share your team, the business systems you use, and one or two goals you’d hand an Owl. A sentence each is plenty.
- Get started together. We’ll set up a short call, pick a first goal, and get your Owl to work.
Who is a good fit
A good fit is a team that already uses WisdomAI with a connected, governed domain and has at least one person with a clear goal they would hand to an analyst tomorrow if they had one.Design partner benefits
Alpha is the stage where your feedback changes the product the most. Design partners get:- Early access. Put Owls to work on your real goals before general availability.
- A direct line to the team. Regular sessions with the product and engineering team building Owls.
- Influence on the roadmap. Your use cases shape which actions, connectors, and controls we build next.
- Hands-on setup. We help you scope a first goal and get your Owl working on it.
Use cases
The following examples show what an Owl does in each area:- Sales: Close the quarter’s gap. Ask what it will take to hit the quarter. The Owl estimates the shortfall, points to the late-stage deals and expansion accounts most likely to close it, and, once you approve, creates tasks for each deal owner in your CRM and reports weekly on progress.
- Marketing: More pipeline on the same budget. Give it a pipeline target. The Owl estimates return by channel, finds where spend has stopped paying off, recommends a reallocation, and tracks pipeline from the shifted spend.
- Product growth: Raise trial conversion. Point it at a conversion goal. The Owl finds where trial users stall, recommends changes, sets up the experiment, and reports by group until the result is clear.
- Finance: Reduce days sales outstanding. The Owl finds the accounts driving late payments, builds a collections priority list, and assigns tasks in your billing system once you approve.
- Operations: Release working capital. The Owl finds inventory that exceeds forecast demand, recommends new reorder levels with the cash released and stockout risk for each, and tracks results monthly.
Security and controls
Owls run on the same foundation as the rest of WisdomAI. The Analytics Harness plans each analysis, runs the queries, and verifies results at each step. The Enterprise Context Layer supplies your approved metric definitions and business rules. Every figure, recommendation, and action links back to the queries that produced it. They also stay inside the lines your company draws:- Your permissions, nothing more. Each Owl runs in a secured sandbox with its owner’s access, including row and column-level security. It has no credentials of its own.
- Approval by default. Actions that send, publish, or change another system wait for you, within limits your administrators set.
- Full visibility. Your data team can see every Owl, what it’s working on, and its full history in the audit log.
- Your data stays yours. It is not used to train models.

An Agent is a job that runs on a schedule or trigger, such as watching a metric around the clock. An Owl owns a piece of work: it decides which jobs are needed, sets them up, and answers for the result. Your existing Agents keep running, and Owls can create and use them.
